Motorcycle: Minimum 1.0 mm.
Passenger car: Minimum 1.6 mm.
Lorry and bus: Minimum 1.0 mm.
Winter tyres
Passenger car: No requirements. If fitted, all tyres on the car must be winter tyres.
Lorry and bus: No requirements. If fitted, all tyres on same axle must be winter tyres.
Studded tyres
Allowed 1st of November - 15th of April.
Passenger car: No requirements. If fitted, all tyres on the car must be studded.
Lorry and bus: No requirements. If fitted, all tyres on the vehicle combination must be studded.
Definitions
Passenger car = Passenger car or van with a total weight <3,500 kg.
Lorry and bus = Lorry or bus with a total weight >3,500 kg.
Winter tyre = Tyre marked with M+S.
